Large Power Service
Schedule LPS
Availability
Available to members located on or near the Corporation’s multi-phase lines for all types of usage, subject to the established Corporation Service Rules and Regulations.
Applicability
Applicable to existing large power consumers who have installed transformer capacity in excess of 100 kVA, and for new commercial consumers who have installed transformer capacity in excess of 249 kVA.
For determination of the applicable kVA capacity, the Corporation shall consider i) circumstances where the kVA capacity installed by the Corporation exceeds the consumers load requirements by more than standard design, and ii) circumstances where installed capacity is shared by more than one consumer in which case the Corporation shall equitably allocate the KVA capacity between consumers.
Type of Service
Single-phase or multi-phase service, 60 hertz at 120/208 or 277/480 volts.
If the Corporation provides service at the standard primary voltage level (12,470 volts), the consumer shall be responsible for all costs associated with the installation of the primary voltage physical disconnect necessary to isolate the consumer’s facilities from the Corporation’s facilities. The consumer will be responsible to own, operate and maintain all electrical distribution facilities on the customer side of the primary point-of-delivery (typically established at the primary meter).
Monthly Rate
| Facility Charge: | $135.00 | per month |
| Energy Charge: | ||
| From 11:00pm – 5:00am | $0.04377 | per kWh* |
| From 5:00am – 11:00pm | $0.06305 | per kWh* |
| Demand Charge (Jun 1 – Sep 30): | $18.20 | per kVA |
| Demand Charge (Oct – May 31): | $16.20 | per kVA |
*The energy rate from 11:00pm – 5:00am is considered “super off-peak” while the rate during the hours of 5:00am – 11:00pm is considered the “standard rate”. The hours follow the prevailing time zone in effect (Eastern Standard Time or Eastern Daylight Time).
Determination of Billing Demand
The member agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as practicable. The billing demand shall be the maximum kilovolt-ampere demand established by the consumer for any period of fifteen consecutive minutes during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter installed by the Corporation.
Monthly Minimum Charge
The monthly minimum charge under this schedule shall be the amount specified within the payment section of the Electric Service Agreement between the Corporation and Consumer.
Primary Meter Discount
Where service is provided at the Corporation’s standard primary voltage, the above stated Generation Demand charge shall be reduced by:
- Generation (per kVA) $0.35
Terms and Conditions
- In general, motors having a rated capacity in excess of ten horsepower (10 h.p.) must be three-phase.
- Service will be rendered only after the following conditions are met:
- The consumer will give satisfactory assurance by means of a written agreement as to the character, amount and duration of the business offered.
- In no case, however, will the minimum bill for three-phase service be less than that previously specified under “Monthly Minimum Charge”.
Rate Adjustment
The above rates are subject to rate adjustments stated in Appendix A.
Other Charges and Terms of Service
This schedule is applicable to charges and other terms of service outlined in Appendix B.
Renewable Energy Certificates
Renewable Energy Certificates (REC’s) are authorized to be purchased by members assigned to this rate schedule as summarized in Appendix C.
