JCREMC and JCFiber employees helped five local organizations for Community Day 2026.

38 employees from JCREMC, a local electric cooperative based in Franklin, Indiana, gave back to the local community on October 2, 2026, by participating in service projects at Girls Inc. of Franklin, KIC-IT, Otterbein Senior Life, Franklin Parks & Rec., and Johnson County Public Library Foundation.

This is a part of the Indiana Electric Cooperatives’ Community Day initiative, which encourages cooperatives from across Indiana to donate their time to local organizations in need. JCREMC has participated in Community Day for years, and in the past, the cooperative has donated its time to local parks, animal shelters, and other non-profit organizations.

Projects just like these demonstrate one of the seven cooperative principles, concern for community, which were originally established by the International Cooperative Alliance.

JCREMC prioritizes giving back to the community that has supported the cooperative since its beginning in 1935.
