Opportunities for JCREMC

Lowering or maintain member’s rates: Have been encouraging our fiber build-out. This would allow profits from fiber to help electric rates. Continue reviewing energy procurement.

Renewable energy: Pushed for a solar farm.

Electric vehicles: Been advocating for a strong presence in all areas of electric vehicles. Steve feels electric vehicles will be a major load factor in the coming years. JCREMC has an electric vehicle.

I look forward to the opportunity to serve you another term.

I am running for the JCREMC District 3 board position. I have lived in the community and on our family farm my entire life. I have been a member of JCREMC for 45 years and have been in farming for 45 years, raising corn, soybeans, wheat and cattle. In addition to family farming, I have operated a Pioneer Seed business for 30 years.

I have seen many changes in the electric co-op over the years and would like to help keep rates low, initiate new technology and ideas in order to expand into the future. This is a very exciting time for electric innovation as more companies and consumer embrace the changes by adding electric power sources. I would like to expand fiber optics throughout JCREMC’s rural areas. Solar energy and clean power have become a large part of our everyday lives, including electric cars, trucks and heavy commercial applications. I would like to help JCREMC innovate to meet these challenges.
