Operation Round-Up® Grant Recipients
Operation Round-UpClark Pleasant Education Awardee
Clark-Pleasant Education Foundation was awarded $755.44 during the fall 2024 cycle of Operation Round-Up to support their K-5 Alternative and Trauma program, which helps students with behavioral issues. These funds helped them establish a quiet and comforting place for students to go, and they were able to purchase materials like parachutes, art supplies, and yoga balls to improve their individualized learning.
CPEF shared this testimonial from Nicole Osborne, the administrator of the program, with JCREMC: “When we started this journey, our students were unable to work together to accomplish a task, and we were often met with challenges when trying to do any type of group activity. Last week, we introduced the parachute and went outside for the activity. Not only did we see smiles, but we saw students following directions and working together!”

Of that total, $7,000 each went directly to Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County, Johnson County Senior Services Food Bank, and the Johnson County Good Cheer Fund.

- In addition to the grants, the JCREMC Community Fund allocated $30,000 in emergency funds to local COVID-19 disaster relief. Of that total, $5,000 went directly to Johnson County Senior Services. The remaining $25,000 was appropriated to the Johnson County Community Foundation to help fund emergency response grants for COVID-19 needs and has been distributed to area food banks, student relief programs, and domestic violence agencies.
