Seth Brown, a member of the JCREMC Board of Directors, has earned a Board Leadership Certificate from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
Seth Brown represents District 2 in JCREMC’s service territory, located in northeast Johnson County. He has been a member of JCREMC’s board for four years. JCREMC directors are elected to three-year terms and are expected to obtain the NRECA Credentialed Director’s Certificate within two terms. The NRECA Board Leadership Certificate recognizes individuals who continue their professional development after becoming a Credentialed Cooperative Director. Directors who have attained this advanced recognition have completed an additional 10 credits in issues-oriented courses.
“Achieving this recognition demonstrates Seth’s commitment to advancing his knowledge and performing his fiduciary duties,” says John Sturm, JCREMC CEO. “He is contributing to JCREMC’s goal of attracting and retaining an experienced and educated group of directors to serve our consumer/members. We congratulate him on this accomplishment.”
