Annual Meeting 2023: Cooperative Solutions in Complex Times

The JCREMC Annual Meeting is April 15, 2023, at Franklin Community High School, 2600 Cumberland Dr., Franklin.
The meeting is a time for JCREMC consumers, directors, and staff to celebrate the previous year and look forward to the future. It’s also the time when members vote in the Board of Directors Election.
The 2023 meeting theme, “Cooperative Solutions in Complex Times,” represents the cooperative’s innovation in serving members in an ever-evolving energy sector, said John Sturm, JCREMC CEO and JCFiber President.
“There has been so much change in the electric industry this year—both in how electricity is produced and used,” he said. “At JCREMC, we pride ourselves on being forward-thinking and tackling those changes head-on for the benefit of our members.”
The doors open at 8 a.m. for the traditional breakfast and voting. The Blue River Band will provide entertainment at 9 a.m., followed by the Business Meeting at 10 a.m. Sturm and members of the board will give updates on the cooperative’s financial standing, new programs, rates, and JCFiber construction.
Activity bags will be provided for children to take into the Performing Arts Center during the Business Meeting.
Districts 1 and 4 are up for election in 2023.
Registration cards and election information, including candidate bios, will be mailed to all members in March. Attendees should bring their registration cards to the meeting.
