JCREMC to offer 2021 academic scholarships
Nov 20, 2020 | Featured, News and Events

Applications are available for the 2021 JCREMC Academic Scholarship Program.
Now in its 27th year, the program awards two $2,000 scholarships to encourage local high school seniors to further their education while also promoting awareness of the cooperative business model. Area graduating high school seniors who will attend an Indiana college, university, or trade school in the fall of 2021 are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a parent or legal guardian who is a consumer-member of JCREMC.
The program has traditionally focused on college or university attendance but has expanded eligibility to students who will attend trade schools in 2021.
One element of the application process is an essay. This year’s essay topic focuses on the importance of the Seven Cooperative Principles.
More information and applications are available on the JCREMC website at jcremc.com/academic-scholarships. They can be submitted electronically or via mail and must be uploaded, delivered, or postmarked by February 1, 2021. Awardees will be notified in March and recognized as part of JCREMC’s virtual 2021 Annual Meeting on April 17.
