Outdoor Lighting

Johnson County REMC offers a variety of outdoor lighting options to our customers. Whether you need general area lighting for added security or decorative street lighting to accent architectural features, we’ve got the light for you. All of our lighting operates automatically from dusk to dawn with one monthly fee that covers all maintenance and energy use. We offer energy efficient high pressure sodium lights. Initial installation charges may be required based upon individual situations. Our engineers can provide you with an estimate of these charges. Below is a description and pricing for our selection of outdoor lighting. All prices do not include sales tax.

Non-Directional High Pressure Sodium

  • General area lighting
  • 360 degree non-directional
  • Available in 150 watt fixture
  • Monthly charge: $ 8.95

Cobra Head High Pressure Sodium

  • Roadway or parking lot lighting
  • Mounted on eight foot arms
  • Available in 150, 250, and 400 watt fixtures
  • Monthly charge:
    1. 150 watt: $ 16.60
    2. 250 watt: $ 23.40
    3. 400 watt: $ 27.35

Directional Flood

  • Accent lighting for signs and buildings, also for parking lots
  • Directional – allows you to aim light to cover a specific area
  • Available in 400 and 1000 watt metal halide fixtures
  • Monthly charge:
    1. 400 watt: $ 12.55
    2. 1000 watt: $ 26.90

Decorative Street Light – Traditional

  • Ideal for residential area lighting
  • Additional installation charges and service contract may be required
  • Available in 100 and 150 watt high pressure sodium fixtures
  • Monthly charge:
    1. 100 watt: $ 10.10
    2. 150 watt: $ 11.65

Decorative Street Light – Acorn

  • Ideal for residential area lighting
  • Additional installation charges and service contract may be required
  • Recommended in 150 watt high pressure sodium fixtures
  • Available in 150 watt sodium, or 100 watt metal halide fixtures
  • Monthly charge: $ 11.65
