REMC customers target of scam

Johnson County REMC customers are experiencing the scam that was reported on in the attached news story from April 23, 2015. The best action for the consumer to take if they receive a call of this nature is to hang up and call our office to verify their account status. Calls regarding account status are made by REMC Customer Service Representatives during normal business hours of Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
