We appreciate the patience of our members as crews worked to restore power to everyone Saturday night. It’s important that you call to report any power outage, and we realize that an outage this extensive increases the time it takes for your call to be answered. We appreciate your patience not only with the crews working to restore the power, but also with the operators taking your calls. The cause of the outage was multiple lines down on the power grid that feeds our substations. Over the course of four and one-half hours, six of our thirteen substations were affected causing approximately 12,000 members to ultimately be without power. High winds during drought conditions added to the damage caused by the storms.
